"I have many hobbies which one of my favorites is knitting. Some of my other favorites are sewing, birdwatching & photographing birds, scenery or just anything that catches my eye. I like to cook and I only bake once a year.
As far back as I can remember, I always loved crafting. My grandmother was a seamstress, cook and gardener, who passed her traits to my mom, so I guess that's where I get it from. I like to experiment with different styles and yarns and colors. I have made my own gifts for years."

It's time again for Etsy Bloggers monthly Blog Carnival. This month's topic is "What are your favorite color combinations? What do you create using those colors?"
I love warm rich earthy colours and since most of my creations are made from found items, especially watches, I use a lot of brass, copper and patinated metals.
Even in my stone jewelry I tend to choose warm coloured stones like amber and carnelian and then wrap them in copper or brass.

You really can't tell the difference."
I love all her images so much, they are all so full of colour and whimsy, it was very hard to decide on just one to feature. I finally decided to go with one of my favorite things, cats. Well here it is, my first Christmas item feature. I held off for as long as I could but it is December now so I guess it's time. This is a great one to start with though. It must be hard to sell kids on Santa arriving by chimney when you don't have one. This is a great way to solve that problem and it makes a pretty decoration too. This is just too much fun. With all the hysteria over H1N1 we could all use a good laugh, at least I could. Believe me I work in a drug store and I could use a laugh and a break. Do you think people would get upset if I wore this to work? Probably yes. Is it just me or does this remind anyone else of an old Twilight Zone episode?
