Something a little different today. I recently joined the Etsy Bloggers Team. Twice each month they have a blog carnival where members are asked to write about a specific theme. So at least once, possibly twice a month I'll be posting my thoughts on the given theme.

Here is the first theme for October: "Halloween is approaching! Do you do any kind of decorating for this spooky, fun holiday? If so, show us pictures!"

So you think being a costumer I'd have these great plans for Halloween but I usually just stay home, watch horror movies and hand out candy. Maybe by October I'm just costumed out for the year. I use to do a lot of decorating but over the last few years I haven't had time. Also I got tired of replacing the decorations every year because they kept getting trashed. We have a problem with that here, can't put out Christmas lights either.

I have done my share of Halloween costumes and Halloween type costumes for conventions. Here are a few from past conventions that you might enjoy.

You can't be serious!

Remember that new computer I bought to replace the one that up and died. Well after two days it joined the old one in computer heaven. Two days!! Seriously what am I kryptonite for computers. Now I have another new one and I'm trying to play catchup again with everything I've missed since Friday. Why does everything break down on the weekend when there's no one around to fix it?

I'm Back!!!

I'm finally back online after a fatal computer crash last Friday. Apparently my hard drive just up and died so here I am with a new and improved computer, minus some files and a lot of bookmarks that will take me forever to find again. Just what I needed right now, another major expense and more work. Oh well shit happens, but mainly to me so don't worry. I'm still extremely sleep deprived from DragonCon (took me about 15 minutes to remember how to log into my blog). I love Rachel's fairy houses but the item that first caught my attention was this lovely hand bound book. I makes me want to learn calligraphy so I can keep a pretty journal instead of scrawled chicken scratchings. You really should check out her fairy houses too, they are very beautiful.
